I did not know this at the time of purchase but since 1991, all John Deere Walk Behind Snow blowers are re-badged products made by different manufacturers. Rumor has it that due to several seasons of low snowfall, John Deere stopped manufacturing Walk Behind Snow Blowers and contracted with a range of different manufacturers who made snowblower models to be sold under the John Deere name.
The manufacturers who made John Deere snowblowers include Murray, Ariens, Briggs and Stratton and Simplicity (Simplicity is now part of Briggs and Stratton). All service related information on John Deere 1330se snowthrower is hard to find so I cobbled up a page full of my solutions. I hope you find them to be helpful.
