The purpose of this post is to outline all the parts that were mentioned in my book “Ultimate Guide to Building Your Own Backyard Wood Swing Set”.

- PT SYP = pressure-treated Southern Yellow Pine
- * Carriage bolts should be purchased at a local hardware store (where you can purchase what you need) vs online stores (where you can only purchase them in bulk)
- ** Glider brackets can be installed with 4×4 timber or buy this pre made brackets

| If you are getting your lumber delivered, inform the lumberyard that you are building a swing set for your child. Ask them to make sure timber are straight and not riddled with knots. If you are going to pick out lumber yourself, you may want to read my post titled “How to Pick the Right Wood for Your Project” (link TBD). |
